A graduate of the Atlanta College of Art, Ty has written best selling books and created a design line for home products.

The Neighborhood

Castleberry Hill is a unique urban community with a strong historic identity. The population is culturally diverse and the area is continuing to grow in both the number of residents as well as retail and other establishments.


Originally part of the renegade “Snake Nation” community, by the Civil War the area was becoming more industrialized. Factories producing building materials, cotton warehouses and grocery stores began popping up. One of those local grocers was Daniel Castleberry, for whom the neighborhood was eventually named.


After falling on hard times, the empty warehouses and factories began to be converted to lofts spaces in the early 1990s. The 1996 Atlanta Olympics saw another influx of development. Today the area is thriving with retail shops, restaurants, apartments and condos. The close proximity to the heart of Downtown, incredible walkability, entertainment options and easy access to highways and public transportation, offer Castleberry Hill residents an unparalleled quality of life.
